Highlights
Itinerary
Loikaw is one of the places you should visit if you are interested in the Kayan long-neck women and their interesting lifestyle. Loikaw is the capital of the Kayah State and remains a sleepy and charming town surrounded by beautiful natural scenery. Taung Kwe Zedi, built on a hilltop overlooking the valleys, is a famous landmark of Loikaw. Demoso is an interesting market not to be missed and is open only on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday.
Around Loikaw, we have Kayan and Kayaw villages. We will visit the authentic Kayan villages such as Panpet and Hta Nee La Lah to learn about their culture, traditions, and the beliefs of the Kayah people. The local people are always happy to meet visitors and likely will invite us to participate in their weaving process to teach us the Kayan weaving style.
When we arrive at Kayah state, don’t forget to taste Kayah barbecue which is special. Pro Niti Travel is eager to assist you in exploring the area of Loikaw to Inle Lake.
